Opportunity
As a Field Engineering Specialist you will travel throughout your assigned territory to provide technical repair, installation, and on‑site service for Roche diagnostics and therapeutic products. The position focuses on routine technical support, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
Responsibilities- Travel daily and up to 10% overnight travel within the assigned territory.
- Provide routine technical support, on‑site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for service‑related issues.
- Document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction.
- Perform preventative maintenance and support after hours, weekends, and holidays when required.
- High school diploma plus 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience.
- 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking.
- Or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 1–2 years of progressive experience.
- Successful completion of RD Services Leadership and policy training/certification is mandatory.
- Ability to travel, including overnight travel.
- Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro‑mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry.
- Strong customer relationship skills and willingness to serve as an internal technical resource.
- 8+ years of progressive experience or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience.
- Ability to provide support after hours, on weekends and holidays.
Salary range: $74,600–$138,600 annually. The position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus. Full benefits are available (details at the provided link). Relocation assistance is not available.
