Field Engineering Specialist - Cincinnati, OH

Position Overview

Field Engineering Specialist; travel 100%; provide technical repair and installation support for Roche diagnostic and therapeutic products in an assigned territory.

• Provide routine technical support and maintenance on system equipment.
• Perform on‑site service, repair, and installation of company products, including mechanical, electrical, software, and networking components.
• Act as primary customer contact for routine service and technical issues.
• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures using established procedures.
• Determine cost‑effective repair or resolution to minimize customer downtime.
• Analyze, document, and provide recommendations on product failure trends and serviceability issues.
• Document all activity in compliance with the company’s quality procedures.
• Maintain and continually improve the quality system, achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

• Serve as a field‑based technical specialist and support customer needs in assigned territories.
• Conduct routine and non‑routine tasks as required.
• Refer complex issues to higher levels for resolution.
• Travel, including overnight travel, across the assigned territory.

• High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training/work experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with 1–2 years of experience.
• Five years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software or networking/wireless technologies.
• Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy.
• Strong customer‑relationship skills and ability to provide support after hours, weekends, and holidays.

• Eight or more years of progressive experience, or a Bachelor’s degree plus four or more years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro‑mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry.

Base salary range: $71,100.00 – $ annual, based on location and experience. Potential discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits are available.
