Job DetailsAs Procurement Operations Manager, Technical Systems, you will drive system enhancements, configuration improvements, and AI-powered innovation across Salesforce's procurement ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of Procurement Operations, this individual contributor role spans the health, optimization, and continuous improvement of procurement systems. You will translate business requirements into technical solutions, partnering closely with IT on configuration updates, platform governance, and AI integration, using your judgment and technical depth to improve how the business buys and how the team operates.
This role will work out of the office in a hybrid schedule three days a week.
- Platform Configuration & Support:
Serve as the business-side system contributor for procurement platforms (Salesforce and related tools), supporting configuration updates, release planning, and system governance in partnership with IT. - IT Partnership & Troubleshooting:
Act as a liaison between Procurement Operations and IT/Engineering teams, translating business needs into technical requirements and resolving system issues. - AI & Innovation:
Collaborate on the identification, piloting, and adoption of AI-driven capabilities within the procurement stack, including Agentforce, automation workflows, and intelligent routing, to reduce manual effort and improve cycle times. - Commodity Program Management:
Own and manage the end-to-end commodity program, including creation, maintenance, deactivation, and governance across procurement systems. - Process Improvement & Reporting:
Identify friction points in procurement workflows and design system-based solutions that scale. Maintain existing Salesforce/Coupa reports and dashboards, and provide ad hoc reporting as needed to support operational visibility. - Stakeholder Enablement:
Serve as a trusted resource for procurement team members and business stakeholders on system capabilities, changes, and best practices, translating technical updates into clear, actionable guidance. - Digital Dexterity:
Leverage modern AI productivity tools (e.g., Generative AI, Gemini, Notebook
LM, advanced data synthesis bots) to eliminate manual drafting, data entry, and repetitive administrative tasks.
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement operations, systems administration, or a related field with direct exposure to enterprise procurement or ERP platforms.
- Hands‑on experience with Salesforce (configuration, reporting, workflow automation), strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work across business stakeholders at all levels, comfortable in both requirements workshops and technical design discussions.
- Experience supporting or leading system configuration projects, including UAT, change management, and release coordination.
- Familiarity with AI tools, automation platforms, and Slack is a strong plus; genuine curiosity about applying emerging technology to operational problems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build reports, interpret data, and surface insights that drive action.
- Clear communicator who can simplify complex system concepts for non‑technical audiences and translate business needs for technical teams.
- Self‑directed and comfortable operating with broad scope and without direct reports, while consistently collaborating with team members to share knowledge, align on priorities, and drive collective outcomes.
