Data Center Security Specialist, DC Security

AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS) to join our Infrastructure Operations team to help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.

• Manage physical security operations, develop post orders, define security procedures, handle site incidents, work with security equipment, participate in construction projects, drive day-to-day process improvement activities, and manage vendors.
• Ensure consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures; participate in recurring site audits and reviews and test new security technologies.
• Demonstrate resilient leadership skills, flexibility to work in a dynamic environment, exceptional knowledge of security practices, and strong written and verbal communication.

  10am–7pm EST, M-F.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors experience
• Experience using computers and Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
• Experience with access control and CCTV systems
• Experience with physical security best practices which includes the application of physical security systems, investigation techniques and management of contract security guards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial or industrial work
• Experience managing multiple complex projects and adapting to change
• Experience using data and metrics to improve processes and customer satisfaction
