IT Monitoring Analyst; Tech Support

Position: IT Monitoring Analyst (Tech Support)

Type: 6 months contract to hire
Location: Evansville, IN (Hybrid)

• Monitor and respond to system alerts and notifications from various platforms, including cloud environments, network, applications, servers, and databases.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve basic technical issues related to system performance, connectivity, and cloud resources.
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate technical team or senior analyst.
• Ensure accurate documentation of incidents, including steps taken, resolutions, and any follow-up actions required.
• Perform routine checks and reports on system health and performance, focusing on both on-premises and cloud-based systems.
• Provide first-level support for clients and end-users, troubleshooting issues through phone, email, or ticketing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve incident response times and overall operational efficiency.

Must Haves:

• Experience working with Big Panda or Grafana.
• 2-4 years' experience in a technical support, IT monitoring or system operations role demonstrating observability principles and best practices.
• Service Now, Jira, Confluence (or other documentation platforms).
• Experience with monitoring tools and systems used to track and report system health/performance.
• Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.) and IT infrastructure (servers/databases/cloud services).

Salary and Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $37 - $39 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
