We are seeking a Director of Business Systems for one of our best clients! This position willlead the strategy, implementation, optimization, and governance of critical business systems across a growing organization. This is a newly created leadership role with significant visibility and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on how technology supports operations, finance, and business growth.
Why This Role is ExcitingThis is not a traditional IT leadership position. The successful candidate will serve as the bridge between business operations and technology, helping leaders identify opportunities, improve processes, implement new systems, and create meaningful reporting and analytics capabilities.
Several major initiatives are already underway, including:
- Salesforce implementation and optimization
- Microsoft Dynamics finance system upgrade
- Development of enterprise Power BI dashboards and reporting strategy
- SharePoint governance and collaboration improvements
- Data governance and reporting standardization
- Evaluation and recommendation of future technology investments
- Develop and execute a multi-year business systems and digital transformation roadmap
- Lead enterprise system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and optimization projects
- Partner with executive leadership to identify technology priorities and business improvement opportunities
- Drive process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce manual work, and improve data quality
- Establish reporting, analytics, and dashboard strategies using Power BI and other business intelligence tools
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technology partners, consultants, and software vendors
- Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and system performance
- Create governance standards for business applications, data management, and collaboration platforms
- Support cybersecurity, compliance, risk management, and internal control initiatives
- Lead change management, training, and user adoption efforts to ensure successful implementation of new technologies
- 8+ years of experience leading business systems, enterprise applications, digital transformation, or technology-enabled business improvement initiative
- Experience leading major ERP, CRM, finance, or enterprise software implementations
- Strong background in requirements gathering, process analysis, and translating business needs into scalable technology solutions
- Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft 365, Power BI, SharePoint, or similar technologies
- Strong vendor management and project leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives, operational leaders, technical teams, and external partners
- Experience building reporting environments, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
