Job Title: Network/Operations –Desktop Support III

Location: Gary, IN, 46402

Duration: 18 Months (07/17/2026 –01/16/2028)

The Desktop Support III technician will provide hands‑on support for end‑user desktop computers, laptops, and related IT equipment in a manufacturing/industrial environment. The role ensures that all employees have reliable and properly functioning IT systems to perform their daily tasks with minimal disruption. This is an on‑site, user‑facing role requiring strong technical troubleshooting skills and excellent customer service.

• Provide on-site desktop and desk‑side support for end users
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
• Support Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Perform Active Directory user account management and support
• Respond to service desk tickets and resolve issues within SLA timelines
• Perform software installation, updates, and basic system maintenance
• Provide face‑to‑face support to plant/office users
• Ensure minimal disruption during issue resolution
• Participate in on‑call rotation after training period (3–6 months)
• Follow all site safety and PPE requirements in industrial environment

• 2–3 years of desktop/desk‑side support experience
• Strong experience with Windows OS environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Active Directory administration experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills (hardware/software/network basics)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/plant environment
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and wearing PPE

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree preferred (for future permanent hire consideration)
• Minimum 2 years IT support experience required
• 8–10+ years experienced candidates may be considered within budget
