We support all AWS data centers and all the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we’re looking for talented people who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.
You’ll collaborate with teams across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost. You’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
- Manage and develop teams of technicians and engineers, providing technical and leadership guidance and ensuring high performance.
- Deliver capacity to existing data centers.
- Help build and bring online new data centers.
- Continuously improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency.
- Assist and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
- Coordinate with internal teams and management groups.
- Ensure adherence to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all data centers.
- Create and maintain metrics for all data center operations and use metrics to drive improvements.
- Support implementing service methodologies including incident, problem, change, and capacity management.
- Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed.
- Willingness to temporarily work at alternate sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational.
- Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and the operational status of the assigned facility.
- Candidates must be able to travel (over 50 miles) or commute (less than 50 miles) to active data center sites as required by business needs.
- 2+ years of management or team lead experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a data center technology role and/or 2+ years of knowledge in TCP/IP networking, network cabling, fiber, optic types, and test equipment.
- Experience conducting interviews and making effective hiring decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT-related field (e.g., computer science, network engineering).
- Experience installing physical data center equipment such as copper/fiber cabling and racks.
- Understanding of networking infrastructure topology.
- Certifications in a relevant field (CCENT, Network+, CCNA).
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Compensation and BenefitsThe base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
