Licensing Consultant – Global Licensing Programs (GLP)
As a Licensing Consultant on the Global Licensing Programs (GLP) team, you serve as a critical strategic advisor and escalation point within the Salesforce Foundations ecosystem—spanning Tableau, CRM Analytics, Mule Soft, Data
360, and Agentforce. You are the vital bridge between foundational operations and senior deal architecture in a field‑facing role that blends tactical resolution with high‑level consultative guidance on complex, multi‑cloud deals.
- Consult directly with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, and other operations groups to structure complex, multi‑cloud agreements and ensure alignment with licensing policies.
- Manage daily, high‑priority escalations from foundational operations while partnering with Senior Consultants on critical, high‑visibility negotiated and enforced agreement structures.
- Maintain hands‑on tactical readiness by investigating implementation issues, identifying non‑compliant usage, and keeping a deep practical understanding of our systems.
- Integrate AI and automated workflows into daily consultation practices to scale output and deliver highly reliable guidance.
- Lead medium‑scale operational improvements and shifts in GTM strategy, including End‑of‑Life product transitions and compliance campaigns such as Attrition Defense.
- Identify gaps in the internal knowledge base, contribute to the GLP team’s licensing training portfolio, and deliver enablement sessions to cross‑functional partners.
- Use advanced analytics (Tableau, Data Cloud) to investigate licensing usage, provide programmatic analysis, and support strategic business decisions.
- Handle nuanced customer‑facing and sales‑facing contexts to resolve friction, clarify policy, and keep revenue on track.
- 4+ years of experience coordinating complex business processes with a heavy focus on deal negotiation, risk management compliance, or enterprise SaaS product implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience; advanced degree preferred.
- Deep, practical knowledge of software licensing models (Subscription, SaaS, Consumption) with proven client‑or vendor‑side exposure.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills—able to translate highly technical concepts to all levels of the organization.
- Analytical storyteller: uses data analysis and visualization to convey compelling narratives and champion data‑driven decisions.
- Driven doer: strong sense of urgency, fluid adaptability, comfortable pivoting between tactical fixes and multi‑million‑dollar deal strategy.
