Network Deployment Lead, DCC Communities

Job Overview

AWS Infrastructure Services leads the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The role supports data centers and all core components—servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling—to ensure continuous customer access to AWS services. The Network Deployment Project Lead will manage medium‑to‑large data‑center cabling deployments, including migrations, new sites, and new regions, and collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, supply‑chain specialists, and security experts.

• Initial cabling planning, installation, validation, and quality assessment.
• Engage and manage external contractors and cabling vendors.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to define device and cabling requirements, schedule resources, and provide continuous status reporting.
• Install, rack, and stack networking devices; run and patch fiber cabling; configure devices using automation tools and CLI.
• Validate, troubleshoot devices, and conduct stress testing before capacity delivery.
• Travel up to 50% domestically and internationally across AMER.

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Computer hardware troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Knowledge of network design, protocols, and troubleshooting.

• Comfortable working in cramped or elevated spaces while following safety guidelines.
• Strong customer‑facing communication and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Experience managing workload and priorities through a ticketing system.
• Proficiency with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Experience in a data‑center environment (racking, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).

The base hourly range is USD 30.00 – 54.00 for the USA, IN, New Carlisle location.
