Architect Data. Build Trust.
At Corvano, we believe trusted data isn’t a feature, it’s a foundation. We partner with our clients to design data architectures, governance frameworks, and platforms that turn complex information environments into reliable, usable enterprise assets.
We’re looking for a Data/Metadata Architect who brings technical depth, strategic thinking, and a hands‑on approach to enterprise data architecture. You’ll help clients establish the models, standards, and governance structures that make their data easier to understand, manage, secure, and trust.
This is an architecture role that stays close to implementation. You’ll define the enterprise approach while working alongside technical teams to ensure that architecture translates into effective catalogs, classification models, integrations, and authoritative‑source frameworks.
Responsibilities- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, and operational needs.
- Design and maintain enterprise metadata models, business glossaries, cataloging standards, and naming conventions.
- Establish authoritative-source criteria for identifying systems of record across business units and organizations.
- Provide architecture oversight for data governance and catalog platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Informatica, and Databricks.
- Evaluate and recommend data platforms, tools, and technologies based on client strategy, scalability, and total cost of ownership.
- Design integration patterns connecting source systems, data catalogs, governance platforms, and downstream consumers.
- Support initial configuration and implementation of governance environments.
- Contribute architecture guidance to master data management (MDM) strategy and system‑of‑record decisions.
- Develop standards for metadata, classification, catalog readiness, privacy, and sensitivity.
- Incorporate access‑control and least‑privilege principles into metadata and governance architecture.
- Conduct architecture reviews and document recommendations, risks, decisions, and technical findings.
- Partner with client architects, engineers, project managers, and technical stakeholders on architecture and integration decisions.
- Mentor junior data professionals and governance team members on architecture standards and best practices.
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture, metadata management, enterprise information architecture, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
- Experience with dimensional modeling, data warehouse and/or lakehouse architecture, and enterprise data integration patterns.
- Hands‑on experience with governance and catalog technologies such as Microsoft Purview, Informatica, and/or Databricks.
- Experience designing enterprise metadata models, business glossaries, and data catalog standards.
- Understanding of master data management, systems of record, data lineage, and authoritative‑source frameworks.
- Experience incorporating privacy, sensitivity classification, security, and access‑control considerations into data architecture.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when creating standards and architecture documentation intended for long‑term organizational use.
- Ability to communicate architecture decisions effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring technical team members and providing architecture‑level guidance.
- Microsoft Certified:

- Informatica certification
- DAMA CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional)
- Comparable data architecture, governance, or platform…
