The Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Service Continuity & Resilience Manager to support the development and continual improvement of IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM), Disaster Recovery (ITDR) and technology resilience capabilities. The successful candidate will work with both technical and business teams to ensure critical services have appropriate recovery requirements, plans, testing and governance in place.

- Own and continually improve the combined ITSCM and ITDR framework.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify and prioritise critical business services.
- Work with service owners to define service criticality, recovery priorities, RTOs, RPOs and key dependencies.
- Support business impact analyses and risk reviews.
- Monitor industry, regulatory and technology developments and translate findings into resilience improvements.
- Ensure recovery plans, runbooks, contact lists and dependency information remain accurate and regularly reviewed.
- Plan and coordinate disaster recovery and service continuity testing, including tabletop, technical recovery, supplier and end-to-end exercises.
- Agree test scope, success criteria and business validation with service owners and technical teams.
- Work with Cyber Security teams to ensure recovery strategies address cyber incidents, ransomware and technology compromise scenarios.
- Review supplier recovery capabilities and testing outcomes.
- Review new and changed services before go-live to ensure continuity and recovery requirements are addressed.
- Embed resilience considerations into service design and change activity.
- Provide reporting on resilience maturity, recovery readiness, test outcomes, risks, issues and improvement actions.
- Track lessons learned, audit findings and control gaps through to resolution.
- Drive continual improvement across resilience processes, technology and governance.
- Utilise CMDB and service management data to support recovery planning, reporting and dependency management.
- Experience in IT Service Continuity, Disaster Recovery or technology resilience.
- Experience with recovery planning, RTOs, RPOs, service criticality and dependency mapping.
- Strong understanding of ITIL-aligned service management.
- Experience integrating service management with business continuity, cyber recovery and operational resilience.
- Experience shaping resilience strategy and improvement priorities.
- Experience leading cross-functional recovery exercises.
- Experience assessing cyber and third-party recovery capabilities.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience providing assurance to senior leadership and governance forums.
- Ability to drive remediation and continual improvement initiatives.
- Experience maintaining risk and assurance evidence.
- Ability to build resilience capability through coaching and knowledge transfer.
- ITIL 4 Foundation or higher.
- CBCP, MBCI, ISO 22301, ISO 27301, DRII, NIST or equivalent.
- Experience with in regulated, professional services or large matrix organisations.
- Experience with Service Now, CMDB, GRC, backup, recovery or monitoring tools.
- Understanding of cloud, SaaS and hybrid environment recovery considerations.
- Knowledge of cyber resilience, major incident management, supplier resilience or technology controls.
