Must‑Have Skills

• Strong knowledge of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance (relevant certification required)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Additional experience with Property & Casualty Insurance operations
• Familiarity with commercial insurance carrier platforms

The Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative plays a critical role in supporting an assigned book of commercial accounts and assisting the Insurance and Risk Services team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate policy information, coordinating with carriers, and delivering high‑quality service to internal and external stakeholders.

You will work across multiple systems to ensure timely, accurate processing of insurance documents and provide dependable administrative and customer support. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and a solid understanding of commercial insurance workflows.

• Provide ongoing customer service and administrative support for an assigned portfolio of commercial lines accounts.
• Pull, review, and process Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) to support underwriting and risk evaluation activities.
• Update, prepare, and distribute Certificates of Insurance (COIs) accurately and in a timely manner.
• Access and navigate commercial carrier websites to obtain policy information, submit updates, request documents, and complete required tasks.
• Maintain policy data, documentation, and renewal information with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Communicate professionally with clients, carriers, and internal team members to resolve questions and ensure smooth account servicing.
• Assist with additional duties and special projects as assigned.
• Uphold strict confidentiality when handling sensitive and proprietary information.

• Experience in a commercial insurance agency or brokerage environment.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
• Solid understanding of Commercial Lines coverages, such as General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Auto, Umbrella, and Property.

This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

This position is anticipated to close on Mar 3, 2026.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
