Spanish - English Interpreter – Indianapolis, IN
Facilitates total communication between Spanish-Only speaking employees and department management. Assures Spanish-Only speaking employees are properly trained and facilitates understanding of departmental and company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties- Assists in the development of the Spanish-Only speaking programs/activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Associates degree/equivalent.
Minimum ExperienceTwo (2) years’ experience in Spanish/English language interpretation. Demonstrated proficiency in Spanish and English languages, oral, written & reverse interpreting. Certified Spanish-English interpreter or translator.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesComprehensive knowledge of Spanish-Only speaking culture and the needs and concerns of Spanish-Only speaking persons. Strong human relations, oral and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
Additional DetailsYou will be ineligible to bid for positions outside the department/station for a period of 12 months. Must obtain certification to be considered.
