New Business Intake/Conflicts Coordinator

This dynamic role combines the crucial tasks of managing client intake and ensuring conflict-free representation within the law firm. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients, acting as a gatekeeper for both the firm's caseload and ethical obligations.
Responsibilities:
Intake:
- Conduct initial interviews with potential clients via phone, email, or in person.
- Gather detailed information about their legal needs and potential cases.
- Assess eligibility and potential case value based on firm criteria.
- Schedule meetings with appropriate attorneys for eligible clients.
- Maintain accurate records and update case management systems.
- Guide clients through onboarding and paperwork completion.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the intake process.
Conflicts:
- Conduct thorough conflict checks for potential and existing clients against the firm's database.
- Identify and analyze potential conflicts arising from previous representations or personal relationships.
- Research complex legal issues to determine potential conflicts of interest.
- Prepare conflict reports and recommendations for attorneys and firm management.
- Maintain and update conflict of interest databases and protocols.
- Ensure the firm adheres to ethical guidelines and professional standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys with case preparation and document gathering.
- Maintain a professional and organized work environment.
- Stay abreast of changes in legal ethics and relevant legislation.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and legal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., legal studies, paralegal, business administration) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in legal intake or a related field.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
