The first‑ever facility of its kind, combining research and manufacturing in a single location, will allow Lilly to further develop innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes, increase capacity for clinical trial medicines, and reduce costs and environmental impact. The Supply Chain organization is responsible for scheduling processes for the Lilly Medicine Foundry operations and supporting manufacturing of clinical trial materials with all inbound and outbound material flows.

The Buyer/Planner translates forecasts into the master schedule, prepares weekly supply chain reports, and leverages MRP to purchase materials/components to support all site operation‑related activities. The role requires extensive cross‑functional work with procurement, quality, master data, and warehouse operations, and will be the key link for all functions at the site and in the broader supply chain for scheduling updates and issue resolution.

  • Proactively engage cross‑functionally to resolve supply constraints, engage in scenario planning, and produce concise risk reports for own products.
  • Represent buying planning on cross‑functional teams, review forecasted inventory projections to identify risks, lead process improvements, and prepare supply chain reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc basis.
  • Prepare supply chain metrics and represent in critical supply review meetings both onsite and at functional level.
