Manager, Materials Planning & Supplier Operations

Location:

Indianapolis, IN

We are seeking a strategic, hands‑on leader to ensure seamless material and service availability for our complex, multi‑technology site. Integrating materials planning, purchasing execution, and site procurement for services and CAPEX, you will turn high‑level demand into executable sourcing strategies. You will safeguard continuous manufacturing operations while enabling disciplined capital deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own site‑level materials planning. Maximize MRP logic to drive time‑phased, exception‑based planning, minimizing reactive purchasing and disruptions.
  • Lead end‑to‑end procurement for direct/indirect materials, site services, and infrastructure (CAPEX). Directly manage and develop a dedicated CAPEX buyer.
  • Monitor site supplier performance (OTIF, reliability). Proactively mitigate capacity, commercial, and supply risks.
  • Optimize working capital and manage inventory risks (excess, expiry) while building planning capabilities across your team.
  • Maintain high data integrity in ERP systems (SAP/D365) ensuring full alignment with GMP, SOX, and internal financial controls.
Requirements
  • Education:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field. Professional certifications (CPIM, CSCP, PMP) or an MBA are highly preferred.
  • Experience:

5+ years of progressive experience in materials planning and procurement within a pharmaceutical manufacturing or regulated GMP environment.
  • Technical Mastery:
Deep proficiency in SAP (MM/PP modules) or D365, alongside a strong command of MRP parameters.
  • Sourcing Scope:
Proven experience managing service procurement and capital equipment sourcing (CAPEX).
  • Preferred Assets:
Experience in nuclear medicine/radiopharmaceuticals, driving operational excellence, or participating in site scale‑up and transformation initiatives.

Salary: $57.5 - $62.5 per hour
