Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally, you may work with other products from partner companies in the same stores.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Hourly pay: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
- Paid training via live instruction and virtual classroom.
- Part‑time employees may access voluntary benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and others.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable weekly schedule.
- Average weekly hours: 4–11 hours.
- Service required the week before and after major holidays, including weekends.
- Support for seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Use a mobile device provided by Hallmark to restock, organize, and monitor inventory in the Hallmark department and adjacent areas. Communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. - Holiday support:
Provide additional hours during peak holiday seasons (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), including working on the holidays themselves when required. - Department resets:
Assist with installations, building and installing fixtures, relocating card sections, and resetting card departments. Receive at least two weeks’ notice; assignments may involve evenings or weekends. - Team collaboration:
Support other merchandisers in the network as needed.
This role is physically demanding. You must be able to lift, pull, push, and carry items up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may climb stairs and ladders.
Basic Qualifications- Minimum age 18.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficiency with a digital handheld device for reading and interpreting documents.
- Reliable Wi‑Fi access.
- Consistent transportation to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
