BWXT is seeking a motivated and safety‑focused Maintenance Co‑Op to join our Maintenance team. As an on‑site student in Mt. Vernon, Indiana, you will gain hands‑on experience on industrial equipment, learn preventative maintenance techniques, and support the reliability of our complex systems.

On‑site in Mt. Vernon, Indiana.

• Assist the maintenance department with routine preventative maintenance.
• Participate in planned projects and reactive maintenance calls.
• Work independently following instructions or requests from a supervisor or project lead.
• Observe and comply with all safety procedures and policies.
• Collaborate with team members to meet maintenance goals.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other industrial equipment.

• Completion of three semesters of vocational training.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• A competitively paid internship experience (pay range $16.00 – $20.00 per hour).
• Flexible scheduling after school (up to 4:30 pm), approximately 15–20 hours per week.

Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour. The rate is based on local market factors and may be adjusted over time. Compensation may include medical, retirement, and other benefits as outlined in a formal offer.
