About the position
This position will be assigned to the Maintenance Department at University Inn.
This position is a Regular Part‑Time position guaranteed 20 hours per week, but can work up to 40 hours per week, based on mission needs. As a RPT employee, you are eligible to earn annual leave, sick leave and benefits, to include Health/Dental, Life Insurance, Federal Long‑Term Care Insurance, Employer Matching 401K and NAF Retirement.
Duties- Loads, unloads, moves, and stacks material such as heavy boxes and bulky items by hand, hand‑trucks, or dollies.
- Performs a variety of manual tasks such as moving, arranging, collecting, and cleaning equipment and materials.
- Moves and arranges furniture, as directed.
- May collect and empty garbage cans.
- Operates hand tools and simple power equipment such as hand lawnmowers, walking‑type power mowers, hand‑saws, hatchets, and clippers to perform tasks such as mowing lawns, clearing small trees and bushes, and removing snow.
- May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty required to include nights, weekends and holidays.
Exerts moderately heavy physical effort, occasionally lifting and carrying heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds; frequently lifting and carrying moderately heavy objects up to 40 pounds, and frequently pushing heavy objects such as furniture on dollies and loaded carts.

Requirements- This is a designated drug testing position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre‑employment physical.
