Overview
We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial General Manager (Hotel General Manager, GM) to lead the opening and ongoing operation of a brand-new Home2 Suites by Hilton
, an award-winning extended-stay brand. This is a unique opportunity to pre-open, launch, and operate a modern, upscale extended-stay hotel while building a high-performance culture from the ground up.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader with strong Hilton brand experience
, proven extended stay operations expertise
, and a passion for driving guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and operational excellence.
Pre-Opening & Launch
- Lead all pre-opening activities
, including hiring, training, brand compliance, and opening readiness - Coordinate with ownership, contractors, brand representatives, and vendors to ensure a successful opening
- Develop opening budgets, operating plans, and staffing models
- Implement Hilton brand standards, SOPs, and service culture
Operations Leadership
- Oversee all hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and food & beverage (breakfast/bar)
- Ensure consistent delivery of Hilton brand standards and guest experience scores
- Drive strong Hilton Honors enrollment, guest satisfaction, and online reputation
- Maintain safe, clean, and well-maintained property conditions
Financial & Revenue Management
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts
- Maximize RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy through effective pricing, inventory, and channel management
- Control labor and operating expenses to achieve profitability targets
- Partner with revenue management and ownership to execute pricing and distribution strategies
Sales & Market Positioning
- Lead local sales efforts targeting corporate, extended stay, medical, relocation, and project-based business
- Build relationships with local businesses, hospitals, universities, and economic development organizations
- Represent the hotel within the community and professional associations
Team Leadership & Culture
- Recruit, train, develop, and retain a high-performing hotel team
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture
- Conduct performance evaluations and create development plans
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, local regulations, and safety requirements
- Oversee preventative maintenance and life-safety programs
- Minimum 3–5 years as a Hotel General Manager or Assistant General Manager
- Experience with extended stay or select-service hotels strongly preferred
- Hilton brand experience (Home2 Suites, Hampton, Homewood Suites, Tru, etc.) highly desirable
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&Ls
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Pre-opening experience a plus
