- Monday thru Thursday schedule, supporting 10 hour shifts.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for effectively leading, directing, and controlling maintenance technicians engaged in safe and expedient installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and facilities to maintain and improve equipment reliability. This role also serves as a motivator, problem-solver, facilitator and project leader to their staff as well as their manufacturing supervisory peers.
Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrate leadership by championing Lozier's Mission, Vision, and Values and living the Lozier Leadership Model.
- Lead safety initiative(s) in assigned department, constantly striving for zero accident environment, by creating a safe work environment, weekly meetings, and communication.
- Supervise routine, preventive, and project maintenance and assignments to optimize reliability of plant equipment and the facilities.
- Work cross functionally to plan, organize, and justify cost(s) for project implementation, preventive maintenance, and demonstrate problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Work collaboratively with other supervisors and managers to solve maintenance related problems, reduce costs, and improve operations.
- Develop, motivate, and direct technicians to improve required skills and performance to meet maintenance objectives.
- Ensure that organizational safety and environmental programs are followed.
- Coordinate work assignments to optimize utilization of people, machines, materials and processes to meet requirements, compliance, and operating cost objectives.
- Complete internal system reviews, review and respond to emails, complete supply reviews and order supplies, as needed.
- Effectively communicate with all levels in all steps of a project or task.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and collective bargaining agreement, if applicable.
- Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
- Ability to work and interact well with others.
Other Job Functions
Budgeting. Work collaboratively with vendors to solve maintenance related problems, reduce costs, and improve operations.
Job Qualifications
Education:
A college degree or equivalent training in a related area.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated success in leading and/or managing a technical area, such as engineering, or maintenance.
Required Skills
· Working knowledge of industrial maintenance in a manufacturing setting including welders, brake presses, roll formers, punch presses, paint lines, lasers, CNC equipment and dies.
