Summary
Position: BPAM PMO Director, Deputy Director, within the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM). Locations:
Aliso Viejo, CA;
Indianapolis, IN;
Washington, DC;
Euless, TX.
Salary: $ (GS‑15, Step
1) to $ (GS‑15, Step 10). Salary will be adjusted to meet locality pay upon selection.
The Director is responsible for overall maintenance and sustainment of facilities supporting Air and Marine Operations and U.S. Border Patrol, including sector headquarters, stations, air and marine units, hangers, checkpoints, and forward operating bases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, evaluating, integrating, and coordinating initiatives within the BPAM Office.
- Establishing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with CBP and DHS requirements, and addressing emerging operational needs.
- Leading execution of services, ensuring resources are properly allocated, funded, and strategically placed.
- Overseeing the development of strategic plans and vision aligned with OSF, OFAM, and CBP objectives.
- Managing personnel selections, employee relations, and performance recognition.
U.S. citizen. Male applicants born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service. Primary residency requirement in the U.S. for at least three of the last five years. All pre‑employment processes conducted in English.
Background investigation and drug testing required. Compliance with DHS Drug‑Free Workplace Plan. Adherence to executive branch ethics rules, including outside employment approval and conflict of interest statutes.

QualificationsMinimum 1 year of specialized experience at the GS‑14 level, equivalent to the next lower grade, performing duties such as:
- Policy setting, direction, and establishment within programs and operations.
- Service execution, resource allocation, and strategic placement to achieve mission objectives.
- Budget negotiation and validation; ensuring manpower and resource needs across an organization.
- Advising senior and executive leadership on relevant matters, plans, initiatives, and policy impacts.
- Governance of programs and processes with internal controls to prevent fraud, waste, and misuse of resources.
