Project Planning Manager Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY
Project Planning Managers own the coordination, execution, monitoring, and controlling of client requests for marketing fulfillment projects. Once a project is initiated, the PPM is responsible for reviewing the request and refining it to meet internal quality standards and clarify any instructions for an accurate, timely, and efficient delivery.
This role requires a unique combination of operational and customer service, as we balance client needs and demands to ensure success in accordance with SGI processes. Most crucial is the ability to work across functional areas with key stakeholders, navigating sometimes complex deliverables with a collaborative and positive outlook.
Key Deliverables:Job Management:
- Coordinate with multiple departments/SMEs to ensure success.
- Interpret client request into actionable tasks.
- Superior organization and attention to detail.
- Foundation in use of Excel for managing key data sets.
- ‘Big Picture’ attitude, acknowledging shared goals of customer success.
- Measured and clear communication.
- Solution oriented team player, ready and able to assist internal partners as well as cross-department.
- Respect and value the time and efforts of others.
- Critical analysis of project details to ensure accuracy in job management systems.
- Learner-focused attitude to new processes that strives for continuous improvement.
- Observe and utilize SGI ISO Quality Control procedures when managing projects.
- Respect and value the time and efforts of others.
- High level of task management, ability to handle multiple projects at once and prioritize accordingly.
- Prior experience in Business Central or similar ERP/job management system.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum BS/BA degree or a 2-year degree with relevant experience in project management.
- Ability to manage change and keep a clear perspective of end goals (big picture).
- Print, Marketing Production, and/or Pharmaceutical experience.
Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Experience with ERP, Business Central, and/or Job Management Systems
- Knowledge of five phases of Project Management; PMP certification a definite plus
- Consummate team player, both within the department and across the company.
- Assist with training new team members as needed.
