The Emergency Management Program Director serves as a liaison to the State of Indiana Emergency Operations Center, other state agencies, and county Emergency Management Agencies. The role develops incident response plans, assists with training, administers radio equipment programming and distribution, and responds to large-scale incidents. Working primarily during regular business hours but available for after-hours and weekend emergency response, this position is located at INDOT's Central Office in Indianapolis.
Keyqualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a similar emergency management or program director role
- Specialized knowledge of emergency management program area and pertinent federal and state regulations
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies, manage budgets, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong networking, planning, and organizational skills
- Ability to delegate work, provide leadership, and manage employee performance
