Greater Indiana is an independent, standalone nonprofit focused on advancing communities with education and resources on alternative fuel vehicles. Our mission is to advance alternative, domestic fueled transportation, including energy-efficient technologies, across all sectors in Indiana. The 501(c)3 organization serves the entire state of Indiana, working with public and private sector members. Greater Indiana is a resource for members integrating alternative fuels, technologies, and efficiency measures.
Greater Indiana hosts educational and networking events fostering partnership opportunities between fleets and industry providers.
Reporting to the Board President and Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides the support and management skills necessary to accomplish the goals set by Greater Indiana. The Director acts as the project manager for the organization’s efforts and coordinates various local events to best leverage resources, increase the number of alternative fuel vehicles on the road, and increase alternative fuel use.
The Director develops and implements policies for achieving various long-range organizational goals. The Director builds consensus among organization members to move forward on such things as grant proposals, legislative agendas, technology evaluation, business development, public education, and infrastructure development. The Director works with state, county, and federal regulatory agencies, interest groups (such as environmental groups), media, consultants, and other organizations to help develop policies, coordinate work, exchange information, and represent members and the organization in public and private forums.
