Job Summary:
The incumbent of this position is responsible for the successful leadership and management of their team. The Team Leader, Non-Clinical, will provide oversight and direction for their team, playing an integral role in ensuring a positive client experience for those we serve and meeting the overall strategic goals of the organization by developing mentoring, and training staff as well as ensure compliance within program standards.
Job Functions
- Ensure staff understand and perform at a level consistent with the expectations of their positions.
- Monitor, observe, and evaluate the skills and abilities of staff to provide quality client care.
- Develop and maintain internal and external partnerships that serve the best interest of clients and organization.
- Financial planning and management.
- Human resource planning and management.
- Create a positive environment that promotes open communication and building upon the strengths of staff.
- Become involved in direct crisis intervention during regular business hours as needed.
- Regularly review and monitor written documentation, providing corrective feedback as needed, to assure compliance with documentation requirements.
- Oversight of the program requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively before groups, employees of the organization, family members, and other contacts in the community.
- Ability to apply logic and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to solve problems in several concrete variables of standardized situations.
- Ability to be adaptable in face of changing job demands and taking initiative actions of one’s own.
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or related field required.
Supervisory RequirementsCommunicate the strategic direction of the organization and encourage participation by all employees. Provide leadership and guidance to all aspects of the department. Take an active role in monitoring the identification, development, and execution of strategic objectives. Involve, as appropriate, all employees to achieve their goals. Effectively communicate to employees about any changes and newsworthy events within the department or company.
Manage difficult employee situations directly, using appropriate discretion and Human Resource advice to show respect for the individual. Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of innovative ideas. Reinforce team approach throughout functions; support and solicit input from team members at all levels within the company.
Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check. Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment. All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter. Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.
Physical RequirementsADA Consideration - Sedentary work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
