PositionBrand Description
The Operator will work in the Indianapolis Device Assembly and Packaging plant where Lilly products for domestic and international markets are assembled and packaged. The primary purpose of the job is to assemble and package products.
Key Objectives / Deliverables- Adhere to IDAP Site safety policies and procedures and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Setup and operations of equipment in assembly, labeling, and packaging areas.
- Follow standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices to ensure product quality.
- Document process steps in appropriate batch documentation.
- Maintain qualification for the operation of assigned process equipment and duties.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Proactively monitor documentation and product quality, properly documenting all activity and reporting issues to supervision.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Completion of Work Simulation and a required fitness‑for‑duty physical exam.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing visa sponsorship for this position.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to learn more in detail.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.
- Experience with a cGMP environment.
- Strong multitasking ability.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Curiosity and technical abilities for troubleshooting.
- Manufacturing has multiple shifts; most are 12‑hour shifts on a 3‑2‑2‑3 schedule.
- This role is hiring for both day and night shifts.
- Initial training may require a different schedule for a period of time.
- Some overtime work may be required.
- Some products are known allergens; a post‑offer allergy test may be required.
- Employees must wear safety equipment (glasses, shoes, gloves, etc.).
- Training provided to move materials around with manual pallet Jack, motorized walkie‑stacker, and motorized pallet Jack.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- This position is not permanent; it is for a fixed duration of two years, extendable annually up to four years.
- Employees are directly employed by Eli Lilly and are eligible for a competitive benefits package.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location The anticipated wage for this position is $17.30 – $38.08. Full‑time employees are also eligible for a company bonus and a comprehensive benefits program, including 401(k), pension, medical/dental/vision, flexible benefits, life insurance, and more.
