Role Summary
The Supervisor - Maintenance leads the Production Maintenance Team responsible for execution of maintenance supporting the site, plant, or flow, and for ensuring consistent application of proactive maintenance and reliability programs. The role includes technical and administrative leadership, alignment with production plans, and ensuring safety, quality, and effective team management across shifts.
Responsibilities- Safety – Ensure team members are knowledgeable and compliant regarding safety procedures, policies, permits and practices. Initiate and lead accident, near miss reviews and incident notifications. Maintain proper housekeeping procedures.
- Quality – Ensure the team’s compliance with quality standards defined by cGMPs, Global Quality Standards, and local procedures.
- Manage People Effectively – Oversee daily maintenance operations across shifts up to 7 days a week, including attendance, overtime, operational issues, performance management, development planning and reporting of results.
- Maintenance Excellence – Maintain quality of maintenance execution and RFU; ensure team training and development and current training prior to assigning work.
- Maintenance KPI – Monitor and manage maintenance KPIs associated with the team’s performance.
- Aligns Team Priorities – Align team priorities to support the production plan and interface with customers to ensure alignment.
- Procedures and Work Orders – Complete weekly Practice vs Procedure Checks and review a sample of executed Work Orders; investigate deviations as needed; own incident reporting, investigation, and corrective measures.
- Required: High School Diploma; five years of manufacturing or maintenance experience; completion of Post Offer Exam, or completion of Work Simulation if applicable; legally authorized to work in the United States (sponsorship not provided).
- Preferred: Previous supervisory/leadership experience; knowledge of Parenteral Engineering or Maintenance operations and GMP manufacturing;
Formulation and Filling knowledge; strong written and verbal communication; coaching and feedback ability; ability to prioritize and meet targets; strong customer service; ability to work without close supervision; problem solving; CMMS experience.
- High School Diploma
- Position supports a 24/7 operation and requires flexibility for decision making and issue resolution to operate the facility.
- Schedule is 3-2-2-3 Dayshift; overtime during peak periods (shutdowns) may be required.
- Must be willing to carry a cell phone and respond to off-hour emergencies when necessary.
- Some allergens are present in the parenteral plant; mobility and exposure considerations apply when applying.
- Minimal travel required.
