PRINCIPLEACCOUNTABILITIES
- Daily Managing
- Cost-Containment / Efficiency of Materials
- Maintain equipment in use in daily operation
- Maintain facility – i.e. overhead doors, lighting, plumbing, & other building needs
- Parts/ Crib – inventory management
- Communication with and guidance of Employees
- On the floor
- Trouble shooting with equipment & systems
- Providing leadership with technical expertise
- Project Work
- Evaluation of new equipment, facilities, and repairs
- Execution & Management of Capital Projects
- Training/Leading
- 3 Maintenance Shift Supervisors, 1 Maintenance Superintendent, 1 Waste Water Treatment Technician
- Budgeting
- Reports for equipment repairs & downtime
- Projections for future breakdowns / rebuilds
- 4 year Technical degree or equivalent
- Certifications not required; however, certificates in the following areas are valuable:
Government Approvals, Electrical, Boilers, Hydraulics, Chemical Handling, Programming, OSHA, Welding, Wastewater Treatment - 10 years’ experience in any three (3) of the major areas listed below in a plant environment:
- Facilities Management
- Equipment Maintenance
- Preventative Maintenance
Computer proficiency – Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, & AutoCAM preferred
- Electrical skills – knowledge of industrial electricity, Power Plant Administration
- Mechanical skills – knowledge/ability in industrial mechanics
- Welding skills – knowledge of
- Knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems
- Expert in at least one area
- Confident in stressful, high demand situations
- Good follow-through skills
- Direct: 25-35 Hourly Maintenance Employees and Supervisors
- Indirect:
None
- Sitting- to complete a task at lower levels
- Standing- to complete most all tasks
- Climbing- to get to parts department, when using ladder, on equipment
- Reaching- to perform activities, to get tools out of toolbox
- Kneeling- to perform work activities at low levels
- Crawling- to perform work activities under equipment
- Bending/stooping- to pick up tools or parts, to perform work tasks at lower levels or inside a machine
- Twisting- to perform work activities
- Pinch- to use tools, to manipulate wires
- Grasping/handling- using tools, manipulating parts
- Must be able to walk/stand on concrete floors & climb ladders without difficulty/pain
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to make repair equipment
- Withstand a constantly loud environment with changing temperatures
- Able to work a flexible work schedule
- Available to direct reports by pager/phone from home if needed

- Responsible for monitoring, record keeping and taking appropriate actions for specific Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan and prerequisite program requirements.
