About Us:

Q2 Artificial Lift Services (ALS) has 40+ repair and service facilities located across the Canada and the U.S. Our service locations are supported by a world-class manufacturing operation (API & ISO Certified), plus a highly skilled engineering and optimization group. Q2 ALS manufactures high quality individual pump parts in the Oil and Gas Industry. We offer a complete product line of barrels, plungers, fittings, accessories and heat treated tubing needed for downhole pump installations.

US Rod Manufacturing in Nappanee, Indiana, is sourcing for a forge operator. Shift schedule is 5AM-3:30PM Monday through Thursday, Friday 5AM-1:30PM, occasional Saturday work.

The Forge Operator is responsible for operating the forge at the manufacturing plant. Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Review shop order packet for procedural instructions.
  • Perform and assists own setups.
  • Check dimensions of parts and holds tolerance of plus or minus .001.
  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
  • Measure and inspect machined parts to ensure conformance to product specifications and record QC data.
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
  • Use of most types of inspection gages. Example /OD micrometers.
  • Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.
  • Understand the implications of not conforming to QMS requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND TRAINING
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
EXPERIENCE
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • Five (5) years of machinery experience.
  • Experience working in an API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.
PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a hot environment.
  • Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day.
  • Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
