As a Packaging Development Specialist, you will support a variety of packaging development activities.
The focus will be on brands bottled on site in KY but will also include imported brands and regional
production sites in Jamaica, Mexico, and Canada. This role will be heavily involved in the development
process to ensure the delivery of high-quality packaging materials with cost-efficiency and on-time
execution. Building relationships within the project teams to ensure the packaging team successfully
delivers on projects and initiatives.
- Effectively work across internal and external stakeholders/vendors/partners to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of packaging related needs.
- Manage the completion of structural design, substrate selection, artwork, and approvals as needed for specific packaging developments.
- Test and validate packaging to ensure final product will meet technical and quality standards – making recommendations for feasible alternatives as needed.
- Request inputs for package development (e.g. part numbers, UPC, SKU set-up, etc.).
- Create pallet patterns for outgoing loads.
- Upload final specifications to internal Campari specification database.
- Facilitate development related shipments to key stakeholders as needed.
- Manage continuous improvement, sustainability, or OEE Projects.
- MS Office proficiency required.
- General knowledge of packaging material characteristics (glass, labels, closures, etc.).
- Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to travel as needed.
