Location: Indianapolis

  • Ensure the Manufacturing processes are maintained to a level of operation to provide uninterrupted production schedules ensuring quality products for our customers.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance department non-emergency workload using CMMS
  • To act as a floor leader and be responsible for the full operation of the plant in the absence of supervision.
  • Must be able to make decisions on their own to maintain plant operations efficiently.
  • Have a working knowledge of:
    Air conditioning, Refrigeration, Boilers, Hot water systems, Bulk flour, Sugar, Liquid Tanks, Mixers and make-up areas, Cooling/Freezing and packaging, Support equipment, Utilities
  • To Score Preventive Maintenance as designated by Supervisor or Maintenance Manager
  • Receive and process work requests from other departments
  • Review all work orders to ensure that they will be completed as soon as possible.
  • Plan and schedule routine overhauls, equipment modifications, and department projects.
  • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance work
  • Plan and schedule routine repairs
  • Provide prints, drawings, or documents required to accomplish jobs
  • Stage parts and materials (Job Package) for scheduled work
  • Maintain Spare Parts Inventory
  • Upgrade preventive maintenance details and schedules to improve equipment reliability
  • Validate work order data, monitor work order aging and control work backlog
  • Make recommendations on needed replacement of equipment/components, based on factual data from the CMMS
  • Comply with all safety policies, procedures and good work practices
  • Participates in audits where assigned (Safety, GMP, 5S, etc.)
  • Report and/or trend as needed:
  • Weekly work schedules
  • Schedule compliance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Have a working knowledge of:
    Air conditioning, Refrigeration, Boilers, Hot water systems, Bulk flour, Sugar, Liquid Tanks, Mixers and make-up areas, Cooling/Freezing and packaging, Support equipment, Utilities
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have at least three years of maintenance experience in a production environment
  • Must know and follow standard safety practices
  • Must be willing to work flexible and variable schedules and shifts
