Pack Line Operator Third Shift Steel Slitting Facility
Pro Resources is partnering with New Process Steel in Butler to hire an experienced Pack Line Operator for a third shift opportunity in a steel slitting environment. This is a great chance to join a stable company known as a leader in steel processing and distribution.
Shift is Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. Pay rate is $20.00 per hour.
- Band slit coils
- Place coils onto pallets
- Wrap coils with protective materials
- Stage finished coils for shipment when needed
- Inspect incoming coils for visible defects according to customer requirements
- Report any issues to the team leader
- Run the down layer, remove damaged
- Monitor the automatic bander to ensure the correct number of bands are applied
- Operate the semi‑automatic bander when necessary
- Review packaging instructions with the coordinator
- Remove slit coils from the conveyor using a jib crane
- Prepare pallets with proper runner protection
- Package using VCI bags or other customer‑specific wrapping requirements
- Band coils securely to pallets using automated or manual banding equipment
Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial production environment.
