Machine Operator - 3rd Shift | Bristol, IN (Main)

Regular Employee | Hourly Non-Exempt | $22.00 - $22.00

Setup and operate sheet metal fabricating machines, such as press brakes, shears, turret punch presses, saws, and presses, to cut, bend, and form sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
• Perform the above within acceptable quality, quantity, performance, and safety standards.
• Operate different forklift machines when necessary.

• Mathematical skills, including converting fractions to decimals.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read a blueprint or be trained to read a blueprint.
• Problem solving skills.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds and sliding 100 pounds without assistance.
• Clean department and maintain neatness in the surrounding work areas.
