Description
This role is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory accuracy by performing cycle counting duties to ensure all materials are properly verified, reconciling discrepancies and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. The role also maintains inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers, and efficiently transports materials within the facility and stocks material supermarkets. It ensures safety and productivity while adhering to operational protocols and assists Warehouse, Production, Engineering, and Customer Service in locating materials.

Key Responsibilities- Material Transportation:
Operate a tugger vehicle or forklift to transport materials, parts, or finished products within the warehouse, distribution center or manufacturing facility, following predetermined routes. - Loading and Unloading:
Load required materials onto the tugger vehicle or forklift, including purchased goods, work-in-process containers and finished goods pallets, and safely unload at designated areas. - Inventory Management:
Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory levels, verify and reconcile physical counts with inventory records, and investigate and resolve discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective actions. - Collaboration:
Work closely with operators, material handlers and line supervisors to maintain workflow efficiency and coordinate material movements. - Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing regular housekeeping tasks and following the principles of 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain). - Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety rules and regulations while operating warehouse equipment; maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Skills:
Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills for data entry and reporting. - Mechanical
Skills:
Ability to operate and perform basic maintenance on tugger vehicles, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. - Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent walking, bending, reaching, and pushing. - Communication
Skills:
Strong verbal and written skills for collaboration and reporting. - Attention to Detail:
Strong ability to navigate and transport materials safely and to ensure accurate counting and reporting of inventory.
- Warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions; personal protective equipment may be required.
