Responsibilities- Maintain a safety‑mindful environment, checking daily safety checklists on forklifts and yard dogs (oil levels, backup beeper, tires, battery chargers, chocking wheels).
- Report forklift, yard dog maintenance needs to the Team Lead.
- Understand finished products and raw materials, read and interpret incoming and outgoing orders, and apply labeling and packaging processes.
- Load trucks according to customer specifications, verifying quantity, product, labeling and packaging.
- Communicate clearly with the Manager, Material Handlers and truck drivers; complete all documentation accurately and neatly.
- Maintain general housekeeping of warehouse and dock areas, ensuring proper and safe storage of finished and raw materials; sweep and clean trucks before loading.
- Support inventory counts, follow pick and put‑away plan, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Use problem‑solving skills to handle arising situations.
- Lift up to 35 pounds, possess communication and organizational skills, be detail‑oriented, and have basic computer skills.
- Operate lift truck and yard dog safely.
- Use scan gun accurately for warehouse inventory.
- Knowledge of all Amcor products and proper packaging placement in the warehouse.
- Ability to follow direction and collaborate well with others.
- Competence in using proper PPE when required.
- Dependable with good attendance; report to work on time each day.
- Strong communication skills, capable of following directions and conveying important information.
- Ability to work independently or in a group setting.
- Comfort with routine work and attention to detail.
- Sound judgment regarding work priorities and problem solving.
