Responsible for daily safety checklist on forklifts, such as checking oil levels, back-up beeper, tires. Will ensure proper safety measures are followed while working on / around forklifts / yard dog, and will follow safety procedures pertaining to the use of battery chargers, chocking wheels, etc...

Will report any forklift, yard dog maintenance needs to Team Lead Must have good knowledge of both finished products and raw materials, and will be able to read and understand incoming and outgoing orders. Must understand labeling and packaging processes

Responsible for loading trucks to customer specifications; verify quantity, product, labeling and packaging is correct

Must be able to clearly communicate; verbally communicate with Manager, Material Handlers, and truck drivers; able to complete all documentation with neatness and accuracy

General housekeeping of warehouse and dock areas. Will verify work area and product (finished and raw materials) are properly and safely stored. Ensure all trucks are swept and clean prior to loading

Support inventory counts, follow pick and put away plan, accurately maintain inventory records

Use problem-solving skills to handle situations that may arise.

Must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds, possess communication and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and possess basic computer skills

Knowledge and skills to operate lift truck safely and the yard dog Ability to operate and accurately use a scan gun for warehouse inventory

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Knowledge of all Amcor products

Knowledge of proper packaging and placement in the warehouse

Ability to take direction and work well with others

Knowledge and use of proper PPE when required

Dependable, good attendance is mandatory, and associates must report to work on time each dayGood communication skills – able to follow directions and pass on important information

Ability to work alone and in a group setting

Can be content doing routine work Attention to detail, good communication skills, and dependability will contribute to success in this position

In addition, this position requires the ability to demonstrate sound judgment regarding work priorities and problem solving
