Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
• Compare products to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality.
• Audit assembly or production lines to ensure adherence to standards, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Review blueprints and specifications to compare with produced goods.
• Train quality associates and the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence.
• Propose improvements to the production process.
• Monitor equipment use and qualify equipment to produce parts to specifications.
• Create Quality Inspection Instructions determining the frequency of checks based on variation of measurements produced by equipment.
• Use gauges such as calipers and micrometers to measure products.
• Program Computer Measuring Machines (CMM’s), ROI, Optic lines, and complete surface plate table measurements.
• Create and lead continual improvement projects based on data analysis.
• Develop training documents for measuring, inspecting, and following standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 1 year of relevant experience (co‑op experience will be considered).
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing knowledge.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 3 years of experience.
• CMM programming experience.
• ISO
  9001 experience.

Schedule Assembly operates on a 4‑day, 10‑hour work‑shift schedule.
