Responsibilities
- Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Compare products to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality.
- Audit assembly or production lines to ensure adherence to standards, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Review blueprints and specifications to compare with produced goods.
- Train quality associates and the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence.
- Propose improvements to the production process.
- Monitor equipment use and qualify equipment to produce parts to specifications.
- Create Quality Inspection Instructions determining the frequency of checks based on variation of measurements produced by equipment.
- Use gauges such as calipers and micrometers to measure products.
- Program Computer Measuring Machines (CMM’s), ROI, Optic lines, and complete surface plate table measurements.
- Create and lead continual improvement projects based on data analysis.
- Develop training documents for measuring, inspecting, and following standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 1 year of relevant experience (co‑op experience will be considered).
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing knowledge.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 3 years of experience.
- CMM programming experience.
- ISO
9001 experience.
Schedule Assembly operates on a 4‑day, 10‑hour work‑shift schedule.
