Looking for steady, full-time work where your skills actually matter?
Wieland Designs is hiring an Advanced Upholstery Technician to join our Topeka team. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality, works efficiently, and supports the team.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.(Overtime or occasional weekend work may be required based on production needs)
What You’ll Do:
Complete advanced upholstery and assembly work across multiple product lines
Read and follow patterns, specs, and work instructions
Maintain quality while meeting production pace (takt time)
Troubleshoot issues to keep production moving
Support cross-training and team development

What You Bring:
Strong upholstery experience (industrial or high-skill craftsmanship preferred)
Comfortable using hand tools, air tools, and upholstery equipment
Ability to read patterns, templates, and technical instructions
Consistent attendance and reliable performance
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Team-oriented mindset—you step in and help solve problems
Work Environment:
On your feet 8–10 hours per shift
Repetitive hand and arm movement (stapling, pulling, aligning materials)
Lift 25–40 lbs regularly; up to 75 lbs occasionally
Non-climate-controlled production environment
