1st shift hours: Monday through Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm. Overtime on Friday when needed.
We pay double time after 45 hours worked per week.

Position DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Material Handler for 1st shift to help organize storage areas, maintain inventory, and ensure parts are supplied to various departments in the shop. The role involves handling heavy, awkward steel; strong forklift skills are a must. Reliable, quick, and skilled forklift operator is wanted.

Supervision Responsibilities: None
Status: Full-time; FLSA Non-Exempt
Position Objective: Material Handlers to help organize storage areas, maintain inventory, and assure parts are supplied to Barge assembly tables, parts department, and saw; prepare and fulfill kits fast and correctly to provide high-quality customer service to the Welder/Fabricators building barges, parts department, and saw. Monitor inventory and communicate shortages.
Duties and Responsibilities- Check incoming deliveries to ensure material matches packing slip
- Load and unload packages
- Organize stock efficiently using forklifts and cranes
- Receive and check incoming pick tickets
- Pull material to fulfill orders properly
- Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed
- Heavy equipment background; proficient in forklifts
- Proven experience as a Material Handler
- Experience using forklifts and overhead cranes
- Proficient in reading a tape measure
- Strong communication skills
- Dexterity and attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a periodic basis
- Must have proficiency with forklift operation. Overhead crane proficiency preferred
- Must be able to stand, reach, walk, bend, and climb ladders periodically
