Welder​/Machinist; 1st Shift

Job Description

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

• Perform basic weld operations (i.e. work set-up, material handling, part prep, etc.)

• Weld material with TIG welder.

• Assembles rework parts.

• Certify several material types for TIG and/or EB Welding.

• Knowledge and ability to prep parts for welding.

• Knowledge and use of manual, automatic and dabber TIG (fusion) welding equipment.

• Inspect finished weld and identify defects.

• Measure parts with precision measuring tools.

• Maintain perishable tools used in the work area and replace or stock as necessary.

• Read blueprints and apply prints to assemble parts.

• Keeps work area clean.

• Verify correct tool hardware, tool diameter, tool radius, drill length, and end mills.

• Able to set up parts and change out tooling.

• Read and process parts and visual braze inspection.

• Maintain accurate work records.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments to inspect parts.

• Support our team concept and learn/perform other duties as required.

• Communicate effectively and professionally with others, both written and verbal.

• Follow and promote safe work practices.

• Support LEAN initiatives.

• Lift light to medium weight in an environment that may occasionally require crouching, stooping and/or awkward work positions.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma / GED from accredited school or institution.

• 6 months to 1 year of TIG welding experience.

• Work may involve high risk or hazardous operations and may include non-standard shifts. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

• Ability to perform precise and detailed work.

• +1 year of machining/manufacturing experience.
