Location: Indianapolis
Responsibilities
- Perform basic weld operations (i.e. work set‑up, material handling, part prep, etc.)
- Weld material with TIG welder.
- Assemble rework parts.
- Certify various material types for TIG and/or EB welding.
- Prep parts for welding.
- Use manual, automatic and dabber TIG (fusion) welding equipment.
- Inspect finished welds and identify defects.
- Measure parts with precision measuring tools.
- Maintain and replace perishable tools used in the work area.
- Read blueprints and apply prints to assemble parts.
- Keep work area clean.
- Verify tool hardware (tool diameter, tool radius, drill length, end mills).
- Set up parts and change out tooling.
- Process parts and perform visual braze inspection.
- Maintain accurate work records.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to inspect parts.
- Support team concepts and learn/perform other duties as required.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with others, both written and verbal.
- Follow and promote safe work practices.
- Support LEAN initiatives.
- Lift light to medium weight, including occasional crouching, stooping or awkward positions.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- 6 months to 1 year of TIG welding experience.
- Ability to be at least 18 years of age at time of joining.
- Exposure to high‑risk or hazardous operations and/or working shifts beyond a standard workweek.
- Ability to perform precise and detailed work.
- 1 year of machining/manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge that the role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information.
- Ability to prove U.S. Person status (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or granted asylee/refugee status).
