We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing and process equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This individual will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated process equipment used in manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, packaging, or industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on process and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Support equipment startups, shutdowns, changeovers, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain pumps, motors, conveyors, mixers, fillers, packaging equipment, compressors, valves, heat exchangers, and other process equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Perform inspections and document maintenance activities using CMMS or maintenance tracking systems.
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support root cause investigations.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Assist with facility maintenance projects and equipment upgrades as needed.
- Support contractors and vendors during maintenance and repair activities.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade school education preferred.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, processing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, packaging, or related environment.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting process equipment and production machinery.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation controls.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance documentation.
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience working with one or more of the following:
- Pumps and motors
- Mixers and agitators
- Conveyors and material handling systems
- Filling, packaging, or processing equipment
- Compressors and vacuum systems
- Boilers, chillers, and utility equipment
- PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and automated systems
- Process piping, valves, and instrumentation
