The primary purpose of this position is to perform assignments requiring judgment and problem‑solving skills related to robotic MIG‑welding processes. The incumbent will assist with setup and change‑over related to MIG welding.
Responsibilities- Adopt a specific group of cells and focus on all aspects of welding robustness for the assigned area.
- Teach robots points for optimum MIG weld robustness.
- Adjust weld fixtures to control end‑product dimensions and MIG weld gap/robustness.
- Develop preventative maintenance procedures related to weld fixtures and weld guns.
- Improve process robustness, uptime and cycle time by researching and improving weld consumables.
- Maintain shim adjustment logs for assigned area.
- Document and improve welding parameters.
- Provide input in evaluation of equipment and processes.
- Understand incoming part quality and its effect on MIG weld dimensional robustness.
- Perform other functions as required.

Education and/or ExperiencePrefer an associate’s degree in a technical field. Minimum of a high‑school diploma or GED with 3–5 years of experience in welding and welding techniques. Excellent problem‑solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
