The Mission Critical Group team in Brookston, Indiana specializes in designing and building custom electrical switch gear and controls for a variety of applications. We engineer, build, and deploy specialized switch gear and control systems for the power generation industry. We are agile, fast-paced, and our goal is to provide our customers with clever, cost-effective products and solutions.
Under the direct supervision of the Shop Manager, the Assembly Technician performs wiring, assembly, and installation work on assigned switch gear at a basic level. The Assembly Technician will follow specific schedules and procedures including safety protocol, installation processes, and other instructions.
Job Responsibilities- Properutilizationof all common, electrical, and carpentry shop tools
- Assembly of electrical sheet metal enclosures
- Computer literacy
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary or other assigned duties
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent OR relevant experience
- At least 1 year of experience/familiarity with working in the electrical, mechanical, or assembly industry is required
- Work well in a team environment. Add to the culture. We all help each other.
- Proper utilization of all common electrical hand tools
- Self-motivated and detail—oriented individual.
- Attention to detail because each wire matters.
- Neat and tidy in work done
- Responsible for personal and area safety as well as general housekeeping
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy
- Satisfactory completion of additional background screening (if applicable).
- Valid driver’s license
- Preferred certifications (OSHA
10, CPR)
