Laboratory Technician
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for all aspects of quality testing of material at the assigned work-site. Material may include fly ash, bottom ash, gypsum, scrubber, and/or other material as required by site management.
Essential Functions- Comply with Eco Material Technologies Safety Policies and Procedures
- Perform all quality testing of materials by approved test methods
- Maintains all quality testing equipment, schedules calibration, and orders testing supplies as needed
- Responsible for laboratory housekeeping
- Record data and results in a specified format with accuracy
- Follows safety procedures to ensure safe work environment
- Interprets testing data and shares results and observations as directed by management
- Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Ability to follow standard testing procedures
- Good organization and problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret test results and convey them to co-workers and management
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills
- Excellent prioritizing, and time management skills
- Ability to deal effectively with different types of people
- Basic computer literacy
The employee should have the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade
- 1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant field
Physical Requirements /Work Environment
- Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
- Prolong standing on concrete or in stationary position
- Complete repetitive movements
- Moderate physical effort required
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (Hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
- Lift/move/transport items up to 25 pounds
- Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
- Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders
- Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
