2nd Shift Nut Former

A privately held manufacturing company based in Berne, Indiana, specializing in the production of high-quality metal fasteners for the automotive industry is looking for a 2nd shift nut former. The job is located in Berne, IN 46711.

Job Description:

2nd shift nut forming operator training on 1st shift for approx. 3 months.

Hours:

1st shift: 7am - 3:30pm (training) 2nd shift: 3pm - 11:30pm (once fully trained). Pay: $20.50 per hour while training on 1st shift $1.00 per hour. Attendance bonus for working 40 hour work week $1.50 per hour incentive once fully trained.

Nut Forming:

• Setup and operates single and/or multiple cold heading machines to produce quality products
• Plan and perform close tolerance setups with little or no assistance
• Use scales, micrometers, dial indicators and fixed gages to check and gage work
• Load and unload product in the process using a forklift
• Must be able to read and follow process standards, control plans and work instructions
• Start machine, observes operation, inspects first run and sample work piece to ensure part conforms to specifications
• Remove and install specified tooling at changeovers and make all necessary adjustments

Requirements:

• Steel toed or composite shoes
• Glasses and ear plugs, will be provided
• Uniforms, 5 will be provided. They will be ordered 2 weeks after starting through Pro. Once DH'd, you will receive 11 sets.
• Before receiving uniforms, you will be required to wear clothes that you are okay with getting dirty/oily - long pants, short or long-sleeve shirt

Instructions:

• Arrive 5 minutes early on 1st day, enter through employee entrance door near picnic tables and wait in break room until supervisor comes
• Will get a 30 minute lunch break
• Vending machines, refrigerators, and microwaves are provided
