Assembler – Greenfield, Indiana
Standard schedule is Monday through Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm. Over time during the week is typically 5:00am – 3:30pm and Saturdays when needed. Schedules are subject to change based on business need.
What You Will Do:- Assemble basic components using hand tools and equipment engineered for light assembly.
- Perform repetitive assembly tasks with precision, including attaching, labeling, and packaging parts.
- Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality and functionality standards.
- Document issues encountered during assembly using tools and standards to verify product quality and functionality.
- Track and document production metrics, such as completed units or defects.
- Identify and segregate defective parts for review and document quality issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, use PPE, and report potential hazards.
- Perform basic equipment checks.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality control to address challenges and improve processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and store tools and equipment properly.
- Follow step‑by‑step written or verbal instructions.
- Be flexible by working overtime, cross‑training, and adapting to new processes or technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with assembly techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and testing equipment effectively.
- Ability to produce parts and products to meet quality standards.
- Ability to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or production requirements.
- Ability to handle parts and tools with precision.
- Perform repetitive motions (bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands).
- Stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
- Lift up to 75 lbs.
- Work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.
