Quality Inspector / Quality Technician Job Summary
Perform advanced inspection and quality functions including PPAP support, new product launch activities, and detailed measurement of components using precision tools. Ensure products meet customer and internal standards through accurate inspection, documentation, and communication.
Key Responsibilities- Perform inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other tools
- Conduct layout, in-process, and final inspections
- Interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and GD&T requirements
- Support PPAP submissions and communicate with customer quality teams
- Operate CMM equipment for complex inspections
- Verify dimensions using surface plates and precision equipment
- Perform visual checks, leak testing, and quality verification
- Assist with tool calibration and maintain records
- Support new product launches and inspection planning
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment
- 5+ years of inspection experience in manufacturing
- Strong blueprint reading, GD&T, and measurement skills
- Experience with precision tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Ability to perform shop math and basic trigonometry
- High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- CMM experience
- Fabrication or welding inspection experience
- Experience with PPAP and quality documentation
- Ability to train or mentor others

Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $22.00 - $28.60/hr.
